DCRG's third season kicked off with three teams returning as the Secretaries of Hate went into hibernation, hopefully to return rejuvenated at some point down the road. The opening match was an exhibition affair between the Cherry Blossom Bombshells and the Northside Stranglers, a regional travel team featuring skaters from Charm City Rollergirls, Dutchland Derby Rollers among others. The second match featured the DC Demoncats upsetting reigning champs, Scare Force One, who until this date had never lost a single bout since the inception of the DC league!
