farrell was born in the front garden of our apartment building in april 2006. he (and his mom and sibs) was trapped with the help of the feline foundation of greater washington, neutered and given a health check before being re-released into our garden to become the building's official guard cat... well ok, he's a bit too friendly for that... so perhaps he's our mascot (or should that be mas-cat?!)
