i'm not sure exactly why it was taking so long, but this car was perched precariously on a jack while the owner dealt with a flat front right tire - this blocked bus passage along it's normal route along Connecticut in the first block north of Dupont Circle. obviously the car couldn't be moved, as, by the time i stumbled on the scene, four number 42 buses were backed up in a row.
