James Calder  > Journalism > Twin Oaks 120th Anniversary Tour
Twin Oaks is a 26-room mansion and estate near the Washington Cathedral. It was built in 1888 by the founder of National Geographic, Gardiner Green Hubbard. The property, currently owned by the Republic of China (a.k.a. Taiwan) was opened to the media for the first time in 2008 as part of a program of events to celebrate the historic landmark's 200th Anniversary.
